SOUND FOR GAMES
Thanks to The Game Audio Institute I got the opportunity to work on the sound design of a couple of games. During this course, I learned, how to implement audio assets like Music, SFX, and VO in the Unity integration engine. While one could say that sound design for film or visual media should be similar to video games, it is fair to highlight and value the different aspects that make this exercise perhaps more complex. Unlike film or conventional visual media, video games live in a Non-linear world where outcomes are always different and change depending on the player's actions. This aspect completely changes how to approach sound-wise because the sound designer and music composer have now to think about different outcomes, themes, and ways to connect with what the player is experiencing. As I start to understand and appreciate this world, this new adventure has opened up new perspectives and thus I have embarked myself on different projects that will see the light soon. For now, have fun playing the games posted below!
